Welcome to IMAGES BY ANN COLLINS!

I am a nature and landscape photographer who sometimes ventures into other areas of photography, such as I did for my coffee table book, La Jolla: Jewel by the Sea. My book features history, historical landmarks, notable La Jollans, annual events, marine life, educational institutions, recreational opportunities, and, of course, the beaches and ocean (my favorite kinds of shots). La Jolla: Jewel by the Sea ($24.95 hardcover) can be purchased at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Warwick’s in La Jolla, and other locations. Here is a short video about La Jolla: Jewel by the Sea.

My photography is available for licensing from Danita Delimont Stock Photography. Framed prints, metal prints, canvas prints, acrylic face-mounted prints, and retail products with my photography on them can be purchased from Great Big Canvas, Fine Art America, Art.com, AllPosters.com, and Zazzle. Put my name and the location you are looking for in their search field.

Please enjoy perusing the galleries on my website. This is a portfolio site, and I am sharing some of my favorite images here. You can click on an image to enlarge it. To close it, click on the X. To move through the enlarged images, use the right or left arrow keys on your keyboard. An enlarged image displays a caption with the photo’s title or description. The I.D. number of the image is in parentheses. If you have any questions, please send me a note via my Connect With Ann page. Thanks for visiting my website!

Fun News From Ann

The winter edition of Nature Vision Magazine, a digital publication for nature photographers, has published an article I wrote about my 2023 winter trip through the Rockies. "The Joys and Challenges of Photographing Colorado's Rockies in Winter" features some of my images, one of which made the cover of the magazine!

The 2024 Sierra Club Wall Calendar features a sunset photo of mine from Clingmans Dome in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, along the border of Tennessee and North Carolina.

The 2023 Sierra Club Engagement Calendar includes two of my images, one shot along the Merced River in Yosemite National Park and one at Bond Falls Scenic Site in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

In the spring and fall of 2022, I focused on California's Central Coast, enjoying lots of coastal photography. I really enjoyed getting to know this beautiful part of my state better.

In the fall of 2021, I traveled to the Adirondacks of Upstate New York, my first time there. Wow! What a gorgeous part of the country!

In other news, the October 2021 issue of LensWork magazine, a fine art photography magazine, featured my Yosemite Waters image suite of black-and-white Yosemite National Park photos.

If you are interested in travel journals, I created print-on-demand journals that feature my photography and inspirational quotes related to nature and life. The interior is black and white, and there are two cover options to choose from--color or black and white--for each location. Currently available in the Journaling With Nature's Inspiration line are Yosemite National Park, Death Valley National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, and Coastal California. They can be purchased through Amazon for $7.99 each. I hope you'll check them out.

In August 2019, I enjoyed being a panelist at the third annual San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books in Liberty Station, presented by UC San Diego. I spoke on the San Diego Local panel about my coffee table book, La Jolla: Jewel by the Sea. The night before, I was especially honored to be a featured speaker at a KPBS Producers Club event at the Prado in Balboa Park. What an incredible evening!

The San Diego Community Newspaper Group published a very nice online article about my coffee table book and me, "‘La Jolla: Jewel by the Sea’ showcases area’s history and beauty." I am also excited that some of my images are now available as prints from San Diego Fine Art Resources (SD-FAR).

In 2018, I was selected as a featured artist by Art.com during Women's History Month. Click here to watch the video. In January, I traveled again to the wilds of the Canadian Rockies. I just can't get enough of the winter beauty there. One of my Canadian Rockies images taken in 2017 was in the 2019 Sierra Club Engagement Calendar.
